Brief report on the organization of the national health programs, nationals health care budgets, facilities, extent of coverage of the population, availability of skilled personnel, and epidemiological data, with special emphasis on DM Types 1 and 2. Each participant to provide more detailed report in written form.

11.00-11.30 Coffee break

11.30-13.30 Continuation of the round table.

13.30-15.00 Lunch break

15.00-16.00 Presentation of paper "High quality national health care models, including appropriate public/private sector roles" by Dr. Alistair Gray and discussion

16.00-17.00 General discussion of what recommendations should be made to government decision-makers regarding health systems in the Mediterranean countries.

17.30-18.00 Presentation of paper by Dr. Effie Tsilibary on DM registries.
