Possibilità di un trapianto in Spagna

There are not centers in Spain with an open program for islet transplantation in type 1 diabetic patients. Therefore a Spanish type 1 diabetic patient could receive an islet transplant only abroad.
In Europe the most active centers are Geneva (Switzerland), Milan (Italy), and Giessen (Germany). You should ask to your Health System for receiving a transplant in an E.C. country with no costs for you (we have the documents at this purpose).
After you are included in a recipient waiting list, you should be transplanted as soon as a compatible pancreas is found for you.In Spagna non ci sono centri che abbiano un programma aperto per i trapianti di isole pancreatiche nei pazienti con diabete di tipo 1. Quindi un paziente diabetico spagnolo potrebbe ricevere il trapianto di isole soltanto all'estero. In Europa i centri più attivi sono a Ginevra (Svizzera), a Milano (Italia) e a Giessen (Germania). Per sapere se è possibile ricevere un trapianto all'interno della C.E. senza nessun costo per te, dovresti informarti presso il Sistema Sanitario del tuo paese (a tal proposito abbiamo tutti i documenti necessari). Dopo l'eventuale inclusione in una lista di attesa, il trapianto potrà essere eseguito non appena sarà disponibile un pancreas compatibile con il tuo.
